Here on my site I hope to give you a glimpse of some of my skills and activities which I am involved in, which I hope will be of use to you no matter the reason you arrived here.

I have worked as a community artist for the last 12 years, and
been involved in a very diverse range of projects in all sectors of our
community both locally and nationally.
I have not been formally trained in any one media, and so have learn't from experience.
I work mainly with mosaics, masks, lanterns, textiles, and paint, as well as organising events; but have also worked with metal and clay, and do not believe I have yet learnt enough skills and techniques to stop trying new things.
I work with adults and children alike- of all ages and abilities,
and am a great believer in people learning through the process, as well
as being proud of the end product.
I also believe that although you can teach people techniques, you must also be able to inspire them to put themselves into their creations.
During my course of my freelance work I have been involved in a large number of events ranging from small community festivals, processions, Council events, and a number of outdoor festivals including running the Under 5's tent in the Kidz field at Glastonbury. Every experience is different and draws on a wide range of skills. Work I thoroughly enjoy.
At an early time in my three children's lives I made the decision with my partner Jules to educate them at home. Through seeing the speed and confidence with which they have taken up any demands made of them in education I am convinced it was the right thing to do , and with the support and help of local and national groups it has been quite a simple and enjoyable experience.
